Intern/Assistant
The Spero brand is growing rapidly, and the team is expanding. I am currently seeking to immediately employ a new team member. The position starts as a paid internship offering where much of the value you receive will be experience. However, there is room for this to grow into a full time position, if the intern proves able to create great value for the brand during the internship.
Pay: $100 per week
Expected hours: 10-20 hours per week

- Contacts around the country with some of the most prominent musicians and industry professionals
- Applicant must have a strong sense of user experience and how it motivates simple, elegant, and interactive design.

Summary of position:
There are several campaigns that I would like to execute, and many little maintenance tasks that need to be handled to keep the Spero brand progressing steadily. Here are a few specific things in the pipeline:
- Research clubs and contact managers in the UK to fill some dates in between my currently scheduled performances and potentially expand my tour.
- Compose and send emails to various music blogs to publicize the release of my new "Live in Toronto" album, being offered for free on my website at gregspero.com
- Create and send emails to music business blogs highlighting the success of our recent Video Competition for my new album gregspero.com/makehills
- Help with logistics at some of my shows (such as running the merchandise booth, managing email list signups, and helping with setup/takedown of equipment)
I have a plethora of resources with which I will provide the intern, and will give him/her specific direction and guidance. However, I will also expect the intern to act as an entrepreneur, creating and executing their own ideas within the context of my career, and I will provide any resources that will help the student's entrepreneurial endeavors in this context.
In working with me, the intern will also be interacting with people in the music industry, including the top jazz musicians in the city, producers and hip-hop artists in New York, and movie producers in LA (as I also do some acting). The student will refine his/her skills in communication with first-hand experience interacting with the upper-level of the entertainment industry, and will learn to step out of his/her comfort zone, spot unique opportunities, and capitalize on them to the fullest extent.
Ideal qualities of applicant:
- Ability to communicate effectively via email and phone
- Ability to research and record data in an organized fashion using Google Docs or Excel (this is easy to learn)
- Knowledge of music software, and/or the willingness to learn new software (specifically Ableton would be a big plus)
- Transportation ability, ideally via car
- Ideally 21+, as some of my shows are at 21+ venues
- Recent graduate is ideal. Current students will also be considered.
I will provide:
- All necessary computer software
- $100/week payment
- Financial resources to cover expenses
- Contacts and databases
- First-hand guidance and direction
- Official internship credit via my music corporation "Greg Spero Productions LLC", in accordance with what the University will allow.

Designer/marketer

- Designer must have a good grasp of brand motivated designs and design consistency throughout all media.
- Must see the big picture and be attentive to details. Be goal oriented and complete tasks on time with the highest quality of work.
- Applicant must have a strong sense of user experience and how it motivates simple, elegant, and interactive design.
- Must be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and integration with html/php/javascript/flash is a plus
- Must know how to optimize images and videos for the web.
- Must be able to create attractive, engaging print marketing material that encourages audience to take action.
- Must be self sufficient in creating and supporting innovative marketing campaigns that leverage the current technologies to virally spread the brand.
- Having basic web development skills is a requirement.
